Slips on wet and newly refinished floors is a million dollar industry in the United States for people in the law profession. If someone falls and gets hurt on your floors after you've either mopped them or refinished them and you don't have the area marked correctly with warning signs, there is a big chance that you will get sued and you will loose. Wet floor cones are probably the most economical way to mark a hazardous area. They can be used for many purposes as well as marking wet areas. Wet floor cones can be easily stacked one inside one another and stored in a small amount of space. When purchasing wet floor cones make sure to buy ones that are taller than any objects in the area that may block their view. The more pronounced your wet floor cones are, the less likely someone will not see them and slip and fall.

Wet floor signs that can fold in half are also a great way to mark a dangerous area. Folding wet floor signs unfold into an A shape which make them stable when put them into place. These folding signs mostly come in bright yellow and are very noticeable when entering a room. Wet floor barriers and caution tape are my favorites as far as safety equipment is concerned. The best way to avoid a law suit regarding a hazardous floor is to block the area off completely until it is safe. Sometimes this is not possible in a main access area but if no one can enter the area then no one can get hurt. Mobile barriers are light weight and very visible and can be unfolded to cordon off a walkway.

After reviewing the types of safety signs that can be used in an area its easy to see how a company or individual can protect themselves against possible lawsuits. If somebody slips and falls on your flaw chances are you are going to be sued, after all your a big company and you have all the money in the world and they are the one suffering, at least that's how they will see it.

The best way to stop smoking

I am somebody who has managed to quit smoking, it took a lot of determination and will power, there were many periods where I was seemingly desperate and had mad cravings for just one last cigarette, however I was able somehow to resist. In this article, I will be giving some advice about how I managed to successfully stop this nasty and unhealthy habit, advice which I hope will help other people to also quit.

I had tried many times to stop smoking cigarettes and had always failed after only a few days. What I needed to do, was to try to work out why these previous attempts had failed and to hopefully learn from my mistakes. In my new quest to stop smoking, I would need to have a whole new approach from any that I have had in the past, an approach which may result in success rather than the normal failure.

I decided that I would only try again to stop smoking, when my life was in what I classed as a good period. I am the kind of person who easily becomes stressed and I can make the slightest problem seem like the biggest disaster. When I feel that things are not going well in my life, cigarettes become like my friend. At least I have something to look forward to do in that day, smoking. When I am doing well and am happy, I have far less of a need to smoke, therefore this will be the type of period, when I will start yet again to quit the fags.

When attempting to stop smoking in the past, I have always told everybody. This is a big mistake as to quit it is important that you stop thinking about cigarettes completely. When you are constantly being asked about how you are finding giving up the cigarettes, it is like a constant reminder to you. By going about it in a quiet way, maybe only telling your closest family members and friends, makes it a whole lot easier.

As well as quitting smoking, I also decided to seriously reduce my intake of alcohol. When I had failed in the past, it was normally because I had been drunk and could no longer bat away the voices in my head that were telling me to smoke. The alcohol weakened my resolve and increased the amount and severity of the cravings. It was important therefore to massively reduce the amount of alcohol that I was drinking.

Another reason why I had failed in my previous attempts to quit smoking, was possibly due to spending too much time with other people who smoked. I decided that in this new quest, I would attempt to stay away from other smokers as much as I could. This was not that easy as quite a lot of my friends are smokers. I had to be determined and make sacrifices. What I am attempting to do could have a very positive affect on my life, I therefore have to have the courage to do everything in my power that I think will help to lead to a successful conclusion.

The Volvo line of cars begins with the Safety-Cage Passenger Compartment. This feature is complete with front and rear crumple zones that are able to dissipate and distribute the collision force. This reduces the physical strain on the car’s passengers. There are also roof pillars and transverse roof profiles that would prevent the car caving in should it roll. The side collision impact system also distributes the force of a collision to the side of a car.

Achieving impossible goals

Don't pay too much attention to the experts. They told the Beatles that the time for a guitar group had passed! At least one of them, Paul McCartney, is still going strong. He played at half-time at the Superbowl in 2005. Not bad for someone whose time had passed.

Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with motor neurone disease at the age of 21. He was given two years to live. He went on to get married and have three children and became one of the greatest theoretical physicists that the world has ever known.

He is now Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge – the position once held by Sir Isaac Newton. At least 40 years have passed since he was supposed to have died.

Recently in the UK some mothers have been released from jail. They had spent years of sheer hell in prison for allegedly killing their own children.

The evidence against them provided by a leading 'expert' has been shown to be faulty. They are now free but their lives have probably been destroyed irreparably.

The expert has not even been sacked from his job.

The experts probably told Sir Ranulph Fiennes that running 7 marathons in 7 days soon after a massive heart attack was not a good idea. He did it anyway.

Sir Ranulph, who was described as the world's greatest explorer in 1984 in the Guinness book of records, has the self-confidence to ignore the experts.

Sir Ranulph now plans to climb Everest by the difficult route. The experts are probably not bothering to tell him that a man with a heart condition should not try to pass the 'death zone' on Everest where oxygen is in short supply.

Sir Ranulph is not too concerned. He believes that, If you plan meticulously and take the right person and the best kit and accept the fact that luck is an element, you will do alright.

Recently Anthony Smith, a 78 year old UK pensioner, has asked for three volunteers over the age of 65, to accompany him on a raft made of gas pipes across the Atlantic.

Two of the gas pipes will be sealed full of air to provide buoyancy and the others will be filled with water for drinking and washing.

A woman of 24 volunteered for the voyage, despite the request for male applicants over 65. Her application was reluctantly rejected.

Anthony may or may not succeed but he has probably already had a boat load of experts telling him not to set sail. I have a feeling they may be right in this case!

I, for one, will not be volunteering to accompany him. Like Nelson, I suffer badly from sea sickness and can't swim too well!

An expert told me, many years ago, that I was making a fuss after I had a minor operation on my toe. I was in severe pain for two or three days. My mother did not believe the expert's assessment and eventually removed the bandage. My toe was black with gangrene.

The bandage, put on by another 'expert', had been too tight. I could have lost both my leg and my life if my mother had paid too much respect to the experts.

Frank Garon, the internet guru and philosopher, makes the key point that there are more than enough experts and critics to go around. We don't need to become our own critic.

"The rest of the world will do the job, of trying to shoot you down, for you. You don't need to do it yourself. You have to be your own cheerleader and your own biggest fan. Not your biggest enemy, and my fear is that maybe you don't cheer yourself on enough or give yourself enough credit or enough of a chance."

Obviously one should at least listen to the experts. Many of them do know what they are doing and could save your life or your money.

After all, an expert, Dr. Mike Stroud, accompanied Ranulph Fiennes on his marathon runs and great polar expeditions.

However, we should not automatically assume that experts are always right. Some of them are spectacularly wrong.

Surprisingly, all you really have to do is ASK visitors for their assistance and you'll get it.
